Case Manager

What is a Case Manager?

A healthcare professional who initiates, coordinates and monitors services in collaboration with, and to support, a client who has had a significant illness or injury, enabling them to reach their maximum potential and regain quality of life.

Experience required

You will have a minimum of six years’ experience of working in a specialist rehabilitation setting or in social care as a registered health or social care professional. You will have worked with clients who have complex injuries or conditions and enjoyed supporting them and their families to return to living in the community.

Skills & abilities

  • You will be organised, confident, proactive on behalf of your clients and collaborative in your approach
  • Very good written and verbal communications and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work sensitively with and relate to vulnerable clients, in particular those who have sustained brain injuries, have cognitive difficulties, or have complex needs

Personal qualities

  • Demonstrate self-motivation, commitment and enthusiasm for the work
  • Possess a flexible approach to work
  • A desire to support vulnerable clients
  • Respectful and sensitive to client’s circumstances

Expert Witness

What is an Expert Witness?

A recognised healthcare specialist in their field who is instructed to prepare and give expert evidence for the purposes of litigation, where a client has been injured through no fault of their own due to an accident or medical error.

Experience required

You will have a minimum of eight years’ experience as a registered healthcare professional and have a specialist knowledge, for example with brain injured clients, or in paediatrics. You need to know the breadth and depth of what it takes to support a client back into the community who has had a significant injury, illness or incident.

Skills & abilities

  • You will be a clear thinker, disciplined timekeeper, committed, and organised
  • Ability to prepare written reports to an excellent standard
  • Ability to work sensitively with and relate to vulnerable clients, in particular those who have sustained brain injuries, have cognitive difficulties, or have complex needs

Personal qualities

  • Demonstrate self-motivation, integrity and enthusiasm for the work
  • Possess a flexible approach to work
  • Confident and calm under pressure
  • Respectful and sensitive to client’s circumstances

Clinical Manager

Keystone Case Management is a clinically-led case management and expert witness services company. We are very pleased to be recruiting a full time Clinical Manager to join our team and contribute to our ongoing development and growth.

If you are someone with….

  • A minimum 5 years’ case management experience with catastrophically injured clients (traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, complex polytrauma and orthopaedic injuries, children’s birth related injuries or trauma), overseeing complex care packages and implementing rehabilitation
  • Experience of training, supporting & supervising other case managers whilst maintaining a level of client contact through a small case load
  • Experience of contributing to an organisation’s strategic direction
  • An interest in the advantages of a smaller, friendly team but benefiting from a larger organisation (Frenkel Topping Group)
  • An excellent record with producing substantial reports and a keen eye for detail
  • Dedication and commitment to high standards, both sector specific, professional and CQC

About FTG

FTG is a specialist professional and financial services firm operating in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence space.

Over recent years, the company has embarked on a journey of growth and expansion focused on delivering reputable, high quality professional services to the industry and our clients.

During this period we have introduced our Case Management offering with the launch of Keystone Case Management in 2021. Based in London and covering the Home Counties and South East with the focus on being the ‘Keystone’ in rebuilding lives. In 2022, we further strengthened our offering with the acquisition of N-Able services. Based on the Wirral covering the North West and North Wales, N-Able has been delivering quality case management services for over 20 years.

Our Case Managers are registered and experienced healthcare professionals who work with clients following life changing injuries supporting them in improving their quality of live. We co-ordinate tailored rehabilitation, health and social care plans.

The Role

We have reached an exciting point in our growth strategy whereby we are seeking the best talent to accompany us on this journey and drive and develop an integrated clinical service for the Case Management companies within FTG as the Head of Clinical Services.

We are opening this role up to all applicants across England & Wales with the option to be office based in Manchester or on the Wirral and the option of hybrid working. This role will require travel to the Wirral and London to provide a regular presence at both companies.

This role will report to the Managing Directors of both N-Able and Keystone, and will be supported by a robust and highly experience clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and implementing the integrated clinical service strategy.
  • Ensuring overall quality, effectiveness and governance of the clinical case management services, including responsibility for regulatory compliance.
  • Clinical people strategy including recruitment, training and development of clinical managers, case managers and assistant case managers.
  • Leading and developing the current clinical team with mentorship and supervision provided where appropriate.
  • Oversight of safeguarding and clinical risk management.
  • Working collaboratively with the Head of Business Operations to implement efficiency measures whilst maintaining clinical quality and governance.
  • Networking within the sector including representing the organisation at key events and considering opportunities to influence the case management sector.

What we are looking for

  • Extensive background in a clinical or rehabilitation setting, preferably within Case Management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate, influence, coach and direct, ideally with experience of Case Management or the Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload.
  • Strong ethical outlook, taking accountability for achieving outcomes.
